Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)

ICPSR is a membership organization, based at the University of Michigan, that maintains an on-line repository and archive of social science data and statistics from commercial and non-commercial sources, and provides services and training for social science researchers, curators and data analysts.

International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam (IISH)

Founded in 1979, IISH is an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) that conducts research and collects data on the global history of labour, workers, and labour relations. The collections, some of which concern politically sensitive materials, are the property of or have been issued on standing loan to the independent IISH Foundation.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an organization of 188 countries, working to foster global growth and economic stability. It provides policy advice and financing to members in economic difficulties and also works with developing nations to help them achieve macroeconomic stability and reduce poverty.

Internet Archive

The Internet Archive is a a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a free Internet library. This means offering permanent access to historic collections that exist in digital format for researchers and the general public. They acquire a majority of their content with the Archive-It harvesting service using a Web crawler that collects content from the surface web. The content is maintained and served through an open access digital repository called the Wayback Machine. Internet Archive also offers book digitization services.

Investigative Reporters and Editors, Inc.

"Investigative Reporters and Editors, Inc. is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of investigative reporting. IRE was formed in 1975 to create a forum in which journalists throughout the world could help each other by sharing story ideas, newsgathering techniques and news sources.IRE provides members access to thousands of reporting tip sheets and other materials through its resource center and hosts conferences and specialized training throughout the country. Irish Newspaper Archives Ltd

Irish Newspaper Archives Ltd (INA) is a commercial provider of digitized newspapers from (and about) Ireland, offered through the Internet database www.irishnewsarchive.com.

Established as 2001 as a subsidiary of National Micro Media Ltd, INA’s mission is to "open up the nations newspaper archives and provide unprecedented access to a wealth of historical and genealogical information which up until now has being locked away in microfilm or hard copy archives" (from the publisher's website). All content is owned and/or copyrighted by National Micro Media Ltd.

JSTOR is a division of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization. JSTOR was established to provide digital content for academic libraries and publishers. Their databases include an expanding full text collection of core social science, humanities, and science journals, books and primary sources.

Knowledge World Company for Digital Content

Knowledge World Company for Digital Content was established in Jordan in 2004 as an limited liability institution with the goal of establishing information databases "of high quality and professional principles in accordance with international standards and practices" (e-Marefa Profile). Knowledge World Company established the e-Marefa project in 2008 (the online database launched in 2012) in partnership with academic and research institutions in the Middle East and throughout the Arab World.

Latin American Public Opinion Project

A long-running program based at Vanderbilt University, LAPOP measures and analyzes public opinion throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.The project conducts periodic in-region surveys of voting-age adults, focusing on matters of politics, governance and democracy in Latin America. Survey data are made available in the open access database, AmericasBarometer, in published reports and policy papers, and (by subscription) in structured SPSS and STATA formats.

Law Library Microform Consortium

A non-profit consortium of over 300 law libraries that preserves important historical legal publications from all world regions through microfilm and digital reformatting, and archives print source materials.  The consortium is the publisher of the LLMC-Digital database.
