It includes extensive, comparative documentation, analysis, and interpretation of major human rights violations and atrocity crimes worldwide in the 20th and early 21st centuries.
Engineering Case Studies Online
Engineering Case Studies Online focuses on engineering failures and employs the case study method for learning from the past. Materials included in cases can range from documentaries, accident reports, company reports, photographs and interviews. There are 58 cases that include significant supporting materials. The publisher has assembled an extensive grouping of archival materials related to Indians of North America, dating primarily up through the early twentieth century, with some material extending through the 1980s.
American Indian Histories and Cultures
American Indian Histories and Cultures, scheduled for release in fall 2013, will present material from the Newberry Library’s Edward E. Ayer Collection, an extensive archival collection on American Indian history. The content ranges from early contacts with European settlers through the expanded occupation of the American west, up through the Indian political movements of the mid-20th century. The collection covers a wide geographic area with a primary focus on North America and Mexico. This digital resource will complement The American West, an earlier digital collection from Adam Matthew compiled from the Newberry Library’s Everett D. Graff Collection of Western Americana.
