CRL gathers and provides information here about commercial and open access digital resources of interest to the CRL community. This information is intended to inform library decisions on investment in electronic resources and related services.
In 2012, the long-established Klapp bibliography of French literature was converted into a database covering the years 1991–2011, presented as Klapp-Online. Annual updates will be released each fall, integrated with the cumulative coverage. The publishers plan to continue with annual printed volumes as well.
The Bibliographie der deutschen Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft (Bibliography of German Language and Literature Research) was started in 1957 by Hanns W. Eppelsheimer of the University of Frankfurt and continued by Clemens Köttelwesch. It is the largest and most authoritative index of published research on all areas of German philology. Long available as a hard-to-use CD-ROM, it went online earlier in 2004 as a joint project of the Frankfurt University Library and the German publisher V. Klostermann. GNARP representatives negotiated a reduced subscription price for its membership.
Bibliography of Linguistics Literature Online has over 452,000 citations (as of September 2015), with 10,000 added annually. The bibliography lists journal articles, articles of conference proceedings, and other collective works as well as monographs, dissertations, and Festschrifts. Fields of study included in the bibliography are general linguistics, English, Romance languages, and German and other languages to a lesser degree.
The search interface is available in English and German.
General OneFile and InfoTrac Custom Newspapers are a unique collection of journals and English language newspapers, providing one of the largest aggregations of full text periodical content available to Further Education institutions. General OneFile serves as the Public library's ultimate periodical resource, with more than 11,500 titles, and a great deal of full-text, 60% of which are recommended by Bowker's "Magazines for Libraries" publication. It includes peer reviewed journals in English or with English summaries, books over 60 pages, articles in collective volumes, selected working papers series, North American dissertations, book reviews with economic content. Coverage omits articles on non-economic subjects from 1969-2005, when our policy changed to cover-to-cover indexing. .

Social Care Online is the UK's largest collection of information on social work and social care. It currently contains over 150,000 items. The database provides abstracts of journal articles, books, reports and online resources. Links to the full text of selected documents, reports and articles are included (where freely available online). A wide variety of materials are covered, including: research reports and articles; policy documents; practice guidance; standards; statistics; and training material. Social Care Online was launched in its present form in May 2005. It also contains content which originates from the National Institute for Social Work library dating from the 1980s. The International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) includes over 2.5 million references to journal articles, books, reviews and selected chapters dating back to 1951.
