CRL gathers and provides information here about commercial and open access digital resources of interest to the CRL community. This information is intended to inform library decisions on investment in electronic resources and related services.
Africa Development Data Explorer (ADDaX) provides access to reference data from 54 African economies. According to East View Information Service, data is collected from local and regional African sources as well as international sources.
Analyse Africa, a service from the Financial Times, provides access to macroeconomic data from global and local data sources on Africa from 2000-Present.
It includes access to key indicators in the following categories: political stability, banking and financing, infrastructure, education, economic potential, environment, social dynamics, trade, labour, and foreign direct investment.
Provides materials from the National Archives of the United Kingdom. It includes official correspondence, diplomatic dispatches, profiles of leading political figures, and minutes of meetings for South Africa during the period 1948-1980.
Archives of Human Sexuality and Identity is a three part collection which will provide access to documents (government and non-government), grassroots newsletters and journals, periodicals, literature, diaries, personal papers, and ephemeral material related to the LGBTQ movement in North America and beyond.Part I (LGBTQ History and Culture, 1946-2000s) will provide access to approximately 2 million pages of newsletters, personal papers, government documents, and more, represent the Gay Rights Movements between 1946-200s. Archives of Refugees, Relief, and Resettlement: Forced Migration and World War II provides access to approximately 700,000 pages of unpublished manuscript records that document the causes, effects, and responses to refugee crises across the world immediately before, during, and shortly after World War II. Government records, refugee agency files, and correspondence reveal the hidden history of those uprooted within and across national borders as well as the relief, resettlement, and repatriation efforts that followed. This archive can be searched by nationality and ethnicity, country fled, and settlement and resettlement destinations.

Caribbean Newspapers, Series 1, 1718-1876: From the American Antiquarian Society provides access to the online collection of 18th and 19th-century newspapers published in the Caribbean. Features more than 140 newspapers from 22 islands.
CEIC Global Database provides access to macro- and microeconomic data from 128 countries, containing reportedly over 2.5 million time series from the United States and countries worldwide. Indicators include government and public finance data (gross domestic product, national government debt), inflation, domestic trade, foreign trade, financial markets, and key industry sectors such energy and tourism. Data is compiled and normalized by CEIC for comparison of various economic factors across countries. CEIC’s platform (CDMNext) allows dowloading of time series data (up to 3,000 series at a time) to Excel for analysis.
China and the Modern World is a series of digital collections of monographs, manuscripts, periodicals, correspondences, and more. This collection covers the period of 1800s to 1980s.

Digitalia Film Library is a multilingual, multi-national collection of streaming films from Spain, France, other European and eastern European countries, North American Classic films, and Latin American films from many Latin American countries including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil (Portuguese), and others. This library now has approximately 900+ films and will grow to over 900 films this year.

The Making of the Modern World (MOMW) is a very large digital collection of over 60,000 works primarily on economics written in Europe and the United States. It is comprised of two parts: MOMW I (1450-1850), and MOMW II (1851-1914).
Mergent Archives (previously, Mergent Webreports) is an online database of indexed corporate and industry related documents. Containing 180,000 documents from over 100 countries/industries, the collection includes digitized manuals with global corporate historical data, equity research reports, international annual reports, and archived analyses and forecasts from Mergent, Inc.
