"The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is the Federal Government’s official resource for producing, procuring, cataloging, indexing, authenticating, disseminating, and preserving the official information products of the U.S. Government. The GPO is responsible for the production and distribution of information products and services for all three branches of the Federal Government in digital and print formats. ICPSR

Established in 1962, the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) maintains and provides access to an extensive archive of social science data for research and instruction. It is the world’s largest digital social science data archive, comprising over 6,200 collections and 500,000 discrete files.  It acquires and ingests approximately 300-400 collections per year and manages some of the largest and widely-used social science data sets available.

ICPSR is a consortium of more than 700 academic institutions and research organizations.

ICPSR is a membership organization, based at the University of Michigan, that maintains an on-line repository and archive of social science data and statistics from commercial and non-commercial sources, and provides services and training for social science researchers, curators and data analysts.

Internet Archive

The Internet Archive is a a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a free Internet library. This means offering permanent access to historic collections that exist in digital format for researchers and the general public. They acquire a majority of their content with the Archive-It harvesting service using a Web crawler that collects content from the surface web. The content is maintained and served through an open access digital repository called the Wayback Machine. Internet Archive also offers book digitization services.

Irish Newspaper Archives Ltd

Irish Newspaper Archives Ltd (INA) is a commercial provider of digitized newspapers from (and about) Ireland, offered through the Internet database www.irishnewsarchive.com.

Established as 2001 as a subsidiary of National Micro Media Ltd, INA’s mission is to "open up the nations newspaper archives and provide unprecedented access to a wealth of historical and genealogical information which up until now has being locked away in microfilm or hard copy archives" (from the publisher's website).
