Archives of Refugees, Relief, and Resettlement: Forced Migration and World War II provides access to approximately 700,000 pages of unpublished manuscript records that document the causes, effects, and responses to refugee crises across the world immediately before, during, and shortly after World War II. Government records, refugee agency files, and correspondence reveal the hidden history of those uprooted within and across national borders as well as the relief, resettlement, and repatriation efforts that followed. This archive can be searched by nationality and ethnicity, country fled, and settlement and resettlement destinations.

IPUMS International

The Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS) is an online database of microdata from 79 countries (2015) for international social and economic research, created and maintained by the Minnesota Population Center. Source data is provided by participating National Statistical Offices. The data are coded and documented consistently across countries and over time to facillitate comparative research.   The data are available to qualified researchers free of charge through a web dissemination system.

Planet

Planet Labs provides a series of products of satellite images and data for research using geospatial data. The products utilize the imagery produced by Planet Lab's Triple CubeSat miniature satellites, programed to capture different swaths of Earth.

According to Planet's company site, the products serve a wide range of markets, including: agriculture, civil government, defense and intelligence, education and research, emergency management, energy and infrastructure, finance and business, forestry and land use, insurance, mapping and maritime.

MultiData Online

MultiData Online is a news database covering 52 dailies and weekly newspapers dating back to 1994. The service collects news stories in the Arabic language from various newspapers and portals as well as a number of English and French language newspapers published in Arab countries. 

MultiData Online is divided into five databases. The services includes access to full text of 52 newspapers, bibliographic citations for articles from over 225 Arabic periodicals since 1920, full text book reviews from more than 250 newspapers and magazines in the Arab world from 1998, subject index to theses submitted to 21 Lebanese institutions, and access to an index Arabicus which includes the contents of 42 Arabic periodicals published between 1870 and 1969. ...

VoxGov Federal is a platform that aggregates a broad range of official and ephemeral information resources issued by U.S. Federal Government agencies and and individual representatives. VoxGov Federal focuses on the regulatory process (lawmaking, rulemaking, and compliance). Though much of the information aggregated by VoxGov Federal is available in VoxGov's core product (VoxGov for Education), this distinct platform adds significant regulatory content and offers a different lens on government process.

African Newspapers, Series 1, 1800-1922

Part of the World Newspaper Archive, created by CRL in partnership with Readex, African Newspapers, Series 1, 1800-1922 provides access to almost 70 newspapers published between 1800 and 1922 in Sub-Saharan Africa. Content features English- and foreign-language titles from countries including Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Wiley Digital Archives is a discovery platform and database that provides access to collections of historical primary resources that have been digitized from societies and archives representing knowledge, learning and scholarship in the sciences. The collections that are available through the resource constitute the study of sciences and medicine through primary resources which include: maps, manuscripts, periodicals, administrative papers, fieldwork, correspondence, books, photographs, illustrations, proceedings, meeting minute books, conference papers, pamphlets, reports, grey literature, and ephemera.

Social Explorer - OUP

The Social Explorer database was launched in 2003 by Oxford University Press (OUP), and contains the entire U.S. census history as well as numerous other demographic and environmental study reports, as well as mapping tools. The website seamlessly integrates spatial and numeric data through an easy-to-use interface and makes working with socio-demographic data simple even for a novice user.

In April 2019, OUP announced that OUP and Social Explorer, Inc. mutually agreed to end its partnership.  Beginning on April 22, 2019, Social Explorer. Inc. began to provide subscriptions and services to Social Explorer directly with subscribers.

East India Company

East India Company is a digital collection of the official records of the East India Company (1595-1858) and the India Office (1858-1947) held at the British Library. Adam Matthew is digitizing the IOR archive over the next five years in conjunction with the British Library, . 

This collection will include the charters and minute books of the East India Company and the minute books of the post-1858 governing agency, the Council of India.

The South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) is a website dedicated to providing access to data on terrorism and low intensity warfare in South Asia through an online database for research and analysis of all extremist movements in the region. SATP is a searchable and continuously updated database on available information relating to terrorism, low intensity warfare and ethnic/communal/sectarian strife in South Asia.

IBISWorld Products

The IBISWorld product suite is a series of reports on approximately 700 domestic and international industries; each report is 30 to 40 pages and contains statistics and analysis of market characteristics, operating conditions, and five-year forecasts. The suite also includes specialized reports on small, emerging industries. IBISWorld includes local level analyses on industries in the State Industry Reports collection. 

Included in the suite is the Industry Wizard, a tool that enables users to extract information from a select set of industries based on specific criteria, defined by the user. Reports are available in PDF.

OpenAfrica

OpenAfrica is a volunteer driven open data platform, it aims to be the largest independent repository of open data on the African continent. Maintained by Code for Africa, it is a public service that is available as a free resource for citizens, civil society organisations, civic activists, the media, and government agencies. Users can upload, download and reuse data available through the platform.

Social Conflict Analysis Database (SCAD)

Social Conflict Analysis Database (SCAD) is a resource representing protests, riots, strikes, inter-communal conflict, government violence against civilians, and other forms of social conflict not systematically tracked in other conflict datasets. SCAD currently includes information on social conflicts from 1990-2016, covering all of Africa and now also Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Medical Heritage Library

The Medical Heritage Library is a freely available collection of resources, including text, audio, and video. The project seeks out new opportunities to digitize primary resources in the history of medicine through grant-funded initiatives and efforts to identify like-minded institutions willing to share content through the MHL’s Internet Archive collection. 

Content Contributors contribute existing digitized content generated by their own institutions that meets MHL criteria and deposit it the Internet Archive tagged as part of the MHL collection.
