CRL gathers and provides information here about commercial and open access digital resources of interest to the CRL community. This information is intended to inform library decisions on investment in electronic resources and related services.
British Newspapers IV, 1780-1950 provides access to national, regional, and local newspapers published in Britain between the late 18th to mid-20th centuries, reflecting the social, political, and cultural events of the times. This group of titles extends the previous digital collections Gale created from the British Library collections.
The Times Literary Supplement Historical Archive, 1902-2013 provides access to over 300,000 reviews, letters, poems, and articles on literature and the arts.
Sunday Times Digital Archive, 1822-2016 provides access to nearly 600,000 pages of the British newspaper The Sunday Times.
Gale's Digital Scholar Lab is a cloud-based research tool "that enables students and researchers to apply natural-language processing tools and raw text data (OCR) from Gale Primary Sources collections in a single research platform." This resource is a tool that can be used for data mining and digital scholarship.
The Digital Scholar Lab is currently in testing with universities and is scheduled for full release in early 2018.

This collection features historical events, such as: the Opium Wars, the Taiping Rebellion, the Boxer Rebellion, the Revolution of 1911, the second Sino-Japanese War, and the Chinese Civil War among other events.
