The Listener Historical Archive, 1929-1991 provides access to a collection of archived issues from BBC's weekly magazine, The Listener

This weekly periodical reproduced and reported on BBC broadcasts in radio and television.  The archive consists the complete 62 year run of the publication covering new films and books, major literary and musical programs, daily life during World War II, 20th Century poetry, science broadcasting, politics, and more.

MEMO 1: Pioneer Orientalists

The Dutch publisher Brill has released a database of high-resolution color scans of Middle Eastern manuscripts collected by early Orientalist scholars from Leiden, held in the research collection at Leiden University Library. This database is referred to in full as Middle Eastern Manuscripts Online 1 (MEMO 1): Pioneer Orientalists, the Manuscript Collections of Scaliger, Raphelengius and Golius from the Leiden University Library.

Migration to New Worlds

Migration to New Worlds provides access to documents related to emigration to the United States, Canada and Australasia during the ‘century of immigration’ from 1800 to 1924.  Documents from the eighteenth century and some later material are also included.

This resource provides access to manuscript correspondence, diaries and travel journals, providing first-person accounts of the experiences of emigrants from various countries. It features material on English, Scandinavian, Irish, Italian, Jewish, Polish and Scottish migrant experiences, along with some documents covering Chinese and Japanese migration to the United States. The Morningstar Investment Research Center product provides access to stock market data and analysis, equity, and mutual funds information for research. The resource is a subscription database designed to service institutions, investors, and business students. In a 2010 review in The Charleston Advisor, John Schmitt called the product "a versatile investment tool that uses current data and in-depth analysis to put a value on stocks, bonds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and broad markets . . . [with] analytic tools that a layman can use to understand risk and diversification."

The Nation Archive makes it possible for researchers to access 14 decades of America's best alternative journalism in ways never before possible. The archive contains thousands of historic articles, editorials, letters, reviews, poems, and puzzles dating back to the magazine's first issue from July 6, 1865. 

The Nation is an important clearinghouse of primary source material in America and around the world. The archive includes perspectives on news, politics, and culture from writers, artists, novelists, and playwrights. The Nation Archive is a fully searchable electronic version of the magazine's complete backfile, offering a 150-year archive of reporting opinion and criticism.
