International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS)

The International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) includes over 2.5 million references to journal articles, books, reviews and selected chapters dating back to 1951. IBSS focuses mainly on the four core social science disciplines - anthropology, economics, politics and sociology - but it also covers a range of interdisciplinary subjects, such as development studies, human geography and environment and gender studies. IBSS is especially strong on international material with over 50 per cent of journals published outside the US or UK. Over 2,800 journals are regularly indexed and some 7,000 books included each year. Klapp-Online, Bibliography of French Literature

In 2012, the long-established Klapp bibliography of French literature was converted into a database covering the years 1991–2011, presented as Klapp-Online. Annual updates will be released each fall, integrated with the cumulative coverage. The publishers plan to continue with annual printed volumes as well.

MLA International Bibliography

The MLA International Bibliography indexes books and articles relating to modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics. Coverage includes literature from all over the world--Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Folklore is represented by folk literature, music, art, rituals, and belief systems. Linguistics and language materials range from history and theory of linguistics, comparative linguistics, semantics, stylistics, and syntax to translation. Other topics include literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts (film, radio, television, theater), and history of printing and publishing.

Gale Cengage has designed Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) to be an extensive database with multiple content types, covering most regions of the world. The collection is in a rolling release of twelve modules over several years, with the initial four collection modules (called “Archives” by Gale) released in spring 2012.

Parker Library on the Web

This significant collection of medieval manuscripts accumulated by Archbishop Matthew Parker and housed in the library of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, has been digitized in a joint project between the College, Cambridge University, and Stanford University, completed in 2009. Social Care Online

Social Care Online is the UK's largest collection of information on social work and social care. It currently contains over 150,000 items. The database provides abstracts of journal articles, books, reports and online resources. Links to the full text of selected documents, reports and articles are included (where freely available online). A wide variety of materials are covered, including: research reports and articles; policy documents; practice guidance; standards; statistics; and training material. Social Care Online was launched in its present form in May 2005. It also contains content which originates from the National Institute for Social Work library dating from the 1980s. Social Care Online is a product of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).

Sociological Abstracts

CSA Sociological Abstracts abstracts and indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. The database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews drawn from over 1,800+ serials publications, and also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers. Records published by Sociological Abstracts in print during the database's first 11 years, 1952-1962, have been added to the database as of November 2005, extending the depth of the backfile of this authoritative resource.

The database combines four literary studies reference works for a total of over 20,000 articles: Die deutsche Literatur des Mittelalters, Deutscher Humanismus 1480-1520, Frühe Neuzeit in Deutschland 1520-1620, and the Killy-Literaturlexikon.

World Biographical Information System (WBIS) Online

The microfiche edition of K. G. Saur's Biographical Archives has been digitized and issued as a group of  databases known as the World Biographical Information System (WBIS) Online. Reference works including biographical lexicons, encyclopedias, and monographs dating from the 16th century through the 1990s are the sources of biographical entries and articles on more than five million people from various countries from the 4th millennium B.C. to the late 20th century.

Zetoc

The Zetoc service provides Z39.50-compliant access to the British Library's Electronic Table of Contents (ETOC). The database contains details of approximately 20,000 current journals and 16,000 conference proceedings published per year. With over 20 million journal and conference records, Zetoc covers every imaginable subject in science, technology, medicine, engineering, business, law, finance, the arts and humanities. The database covers the years from 1993 to date and is updated daily. A list of journal titles covered by Zetoc also provides the ISSN, latest issue and date loaded.
