LIFE Magazine Archive

Digital version of LIFE magazine's backfiles. Life was an American weekly (later monthly) news magazine founded in 1936 with a focus on photojournalism. With a focus on national and international events, politics, and culture, Life featured award winning photographs covering major events and everyday people. The digital archive features more than 2,200 fully indexed and text-searchable issues covering 1936-2000.

LLMC-Digital

LLMC-Digital, the online platform of the nonprofit Law Library Microform Consortium, makes a wide range of legal and governmental publications available online for the use of the academic community. LandScan

LandScan is a unique data set showing population distribution, developed by the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). In 2011, East View obtained an exclusive license for all distribution of this database outside of internal government uses. The data set is available through a subscription for each year (representing data collected in the previous year). East View also offers The LandScan Global Archive, a compilation of the historical LandScan data sets.

Latin American Census Collection

East View presents the Latin America Census Collection, an assemblage of census data from 20 countries across Latin America addressing a wide range of topics. Available for purchase individually by country, or as a group, the Latin America Census Collection is a source of demographic data for academic research.

When initially acquired, census data is stored in a complex database structure, limiting access to those with significant database management and programming experience. East View has formatted each collection into an accessible geodatabase and provides a comprehensive User Guide. Latin American Databank

The Latin American Databank (LAD) provides a portal for Latin American datasets acquired, processed and archived by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research. Collections includes data from public opinion surveys conducted by the survey research community in Latin America and the Caribbean, including universities, institutes, individual scholars, private polling and public opinion research firms.

The database includes data from: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Latin American Newspapers, Series 1 and 2, 1805-1922

Part of the World Newspaper Archive, created by CRL in partnership with Readex, Latin American Newspapers, Series 1 & 2 (1805-1922) provides access to key historical newspapers published in Latin America and the Caribbean between 1805 and 1922. Coverage features significant titles from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, and elsewhere.

Series 1 and Series 2 may be purchased separately or collectively, offering integrated access to nearly 300 historical Latin American newspapers.

The Literaturnaia Gazeta (Литературная газета) digital archive contains 6,470 issues of this cultural and political newspaper from Russia. The collection covers issues dating from 1929 to the present. The archive is full-image and searchable text.
