17th and 18th Century Burney Newspapers Collection provides access to seventeenth and eighteenth century English news media available from the British Library and includes more than 1,000 pamphlets, proclamations, newsbooks and newspapers from the period. 

Gathered by Reverend Charles Burney (1757-1817), a notable scholar and son of a well-known music historian of the same name, this collection covers more than two hundred years of accounts, explanations, and points of views. Daily Mail Historical Archive, 1896-2004 provides access to the archive of the regular editions of the British newspaper, Daily Mail.

This archive also includes access to the Daily Mail Atlantic Edition, which was published on board the cruise ships that sailed between New York and Southampton from 1923-1931.

Gale Primary Sources is a universal research experience that combines Gale's digital archives in a single cross-search interface. Users may select one, all, or a combination of accessible databases to search.

The platform allows the use of multiple search options and research tools to search across the variety of archives accessible to the subscribing institution. Features include a wide range of search indexes (keyword, author/creator, document title, subject, place of publication) and limiters (date ranges, content types) to construct searches that best suit the user’s needs. Subject indexing aids content discovery across collections, drawing connections that simple search and retrieval may not achieve.
