CRL gathers and provides information here about commercial and open access digital resources of interest to the CRL community. This information is intended to inform library decisions on investment in electronic resources and related services.
Natural Earth
Natural Earth is a public domain map dataset featuring integrated vector and raster data.
Early State Records
Early State Records, contains a compilation of the microfilm collection Records of the States of the United States of America that was created in the 1940's.
Included in the original project were: constitutions, the debates of constitutional conventions; statutes and early versions of compiled laws; journals and debates of the legislative bodies of the thirteen original states; administrative, executive, and court records; local, county, and city records; broadsides; records of the Native American nations; and newspapers covering British Colonial America and post-Revolutionary development. The entire collection totals roughly 2,500,000 pages or images (approximately 1900 reels including at least one supplement.)
Gallup Analytics
Gallup Analytics is an online platform that provides subscribers with access to public opinion data aggregated through the Gallup World Poll, which annually collects opinions on issues from approximately 160 countries. The data-types covered in the product include: economics, wellbeing, employment, religion, freedom of media, entrepreneurial energy, and politics.

OpenEdition is an academic publishing portal for electronic resources in the humanities and social sciences with four platforms presenting publications and current information:
OpenEdition Journals OpenEdition Books Calenda HypothesesThe OpenEdition publishing initiative focuses on providing open access content. They characterize the funding model as “hybrid”, where library subscriptions derive value added services in addition to directly funding publishing efforts.
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a business research platform and intelligence tool widely used by academic, corporate, government, and nonprofit researchers.WRDS provides users a single online location for access to terabytes of data across multiple disciplines including: accounting, banking, economics, finance, ESG and statistics.
WRDS aggregates and retains content from a variety of data sources, and serves as a source of historical data from a number of vendors that themselves maintain only current information. Sources of data aggregated by WRDS include CRSP, S&P Global Market Intelligence, NYSE, and Thomson Reuters, as well as more specialized sources such as BoardEx, FactSet, Hedge Fund Research, Markit, Ravenpack and GSIOnline.
Caribbean Studies in Video: The Banyan Archive
Caribbean Studies in Video: The Banyan Archive provides access to more than 1,100 hours of both edited programs and unedited footage from Banyan Productions in Trinidad & Tobago.
Founded in 1974, Banyan Productions provided entertainment programs in the Caribbean. It featured a mixture of documentaries, drama and music entertainment, and social commentary for, about, and by the Caribbean people.
Mobilizing East Asia
Mobilizing East Asia provides access to English-language newspapers, magazines, books, and pamphlets published in East Asia from 1904-1959.
Docuseek2
In partnership with Alexander Street Press, Docuseek2 provides exclusive educational streaming access to more than 800 films from Bullfrog Films®, Collective Eye Films, Icarus Films (including The Fanlight Collection and dGenerate Films), Kartemquin Films, KimStim, the National Film Board of Canada, and Terra Nova Films.
AmericasBarometer
The AmericasBarometer database includes open access datasets, as well as subscription-based "merged datasets", from public opinion surveys conducted periodically in Latin America and the Caribbean beginning in the 1970s, focusing on matters of governance, politics, and democracy in the region.
Publishers Weekly Digital Archive
Publishers Weekly Digital Archive provides digital access to issues published from 1872 to 2013. Material is reported to be provided in its original context, including advertisements. It includes approximately 200,000 book reviews, publishing news, book trade statistics, and bestseller lists from 1895 forward.
Women's Wear Daily (Fairchild Publishing LLC)
Women's Wear Daily was founded on July 13, 1910 and it has often been referred as the "fashion bible," providing business news and trends impacting the fashion and retail industry.
Washington Post Online
National Digital Edition of www.washingtonpost.com provides national and world news on the web for computers, tablets and smart phones.
ORCID
ORCID provides two core functions: (1) a registry to obtain a unique identifier and manage a record of activities, and (2) APIs that support system-to-system communication and authentication. ORCID makes its code available under an open source license, and will post an annual public data file under a CC0 waiver for free download.

Digitalia Film Library is a multilingual, multi-national collection of streaming films from Spain, France, other European and eastern European countries, North American Classic films, and Latin American films from many Latin American countries including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil (Portuguese), and others. This library now has approximately 900+ films and will grow to over 900 films this year.

U.S. Declassified Documents Online provides online access to over 500,000 pages of previously classified government documents. Covering major international events from the Cold War to the Vietnam War and beyond, this source enables users to locate key information for studies in international relations, American studies, United States foreign and domestic policy studies, journalism and more.

DemographicsNow: Business & People connects users with detailed demographic data that spans the entire United States and Canada.
The Economist Historical Archive
The Economist Historical Archive provides access to issues of The Economist between 1843-2012 - from cover to cover. It includes news, analysis, commentary, editorials, statistics, demographics, letters to the editor, obituaries, and historical photographs.
This collection is updated annually (2012 content added in 2016, 2013 to be added in 2017, etc.).
Financial Times Historical Archive, 1888-2010
Financial Times Historical Archive, 1888-2010 provides access to more than 900,000 fully searchable pages of the Financial Times. This digital collection includes the complete run of the London edition of the paper, from its first issue in 1888 to the end of 2010.
