Diversity and Dissent: Civil Society in 20th Century America is a thematically-driven digitization initiative by Reveal Digital to digitize diverse material along the themes of civil society: items from non-governmental/non-commercial organizations that supported gender and race equality, workers rights, and other issues that challenged social norms in 20th Century America.
The "Civil Society Investment Fund" is a new funding model proposed by Reveal to create a sustainable funding base for projects. Libraries committing to multi-year investments will have a say in nominating and prioritizing projects that fit the thematic focus of the fund. Keesing's World News Archive
An online subscription database of monthly digests of international news, based on articles reporting world events and developments, from 1931 forward. The archive incorporates Keesing’s Contemporary Archives (1931-1987) and its continuation, Keesing’s Record of World Events (1987 - ). Events covered include government changes, wars, treaties, diplomatic initiatives, international agreements, security, legislation, budgets, natural disasters, environmental issues, and scientific discoveries.
Corporate Affiliations
Corporate Affiliations is an online business database with information on companies from across the globe, it is provided by LexisNexis. The database includes company profiles, financials, parent and subsidiary company information, and access to business news feeds.
CoreLogic
CoreLogic is a database of property information, real estate transaction services and analytics. The content provided includes publicly available data and multiple listing service (MLS) data combined with property, mortgage and financial databases to provide information required for mortgage and real estate services.
Latinobarómetro
Latinobarómetro is an annual public opinion survey that as of 2016 involved some 20,000 interviews in 18 Latin American countries, representing more than 600 million inhabitants.
Sysomos
Sysomos is a social media analytics platform with aggregated data from: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, LexisNexis, and more. Based in Toronto, Sysomos offers global coverage of social media data.
i360 Database
The i360 database is a resource of aggregated U.S. voter registration and election data along with other demographic and survey data points.
Catalist
Catalist is a database of US voter registration and demographic data. The database also integrates data from the US Census.
Docuseek2
In partnership with Alexander Street Press, Docuseek2 provides exclusive educational streaming access to more than 800 films from Bullfrog Films®, Collective Eye Films, Icarus Films (including The Fanlight Collection and dGenerate Films), Kartemquin Films, KimStim, the National Film Board of Canada, and Terra Nova Films.
ACI Scholarly Blog Index
ACI Scholarly Blog Index is an editorially created and curated index of scholarly social media. Authors are selected for inclusion based on their academic credentials as well as the scope and quality of their writing. Metadata, taxonomies, and proprietary Author Profile Cards are appended to each publication.
Digital National Security Archive (DNSA)
Digital National Security Archive (DNSA) provides access to declassified U.S. government documents from 1945-2013. The resource now includes 48 collections consisting of approximately 120,000 indexed documents focusing on national security topics, such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, U.S. Intelligence after 9/11, and the Vietnam War.
The collection contains policy documents including presidential directives, memos, diplomatic dispatches, meeting notes, independent reports, briefing papers, White House communications, email, confidential letters and other secret material.
Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP)
The Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) is a set of databases of historical stock market data provided by the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. CRSP maintains the most comprehensive collection of security price, return, and volume data for the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ stock markets. Additional CRSP files provide stock indices, beta- and cap-based portfolios, treasury bond and risk-free rates, mutual funds, and real estate data.
DigitalGlobe
DigitalGlobe is the primary commercial provider of very high-resolution (VHR) geospatial images and data for all world regions,from satellite and aerial capture. DigitalGlobe Basemap is a subscription service that provides access to customized collections of data sets from the DigitalGlobe repository tailored to the needs of individual client libraries.
Pew Research Center Datasets
The Pew Research Center makes its survey data openly accessible online after a period of time. Users can download datasets off of Pew's website from surveys covering: U.S. politics & policy; journalism & media; internet, science & tech; religion & public life; Hispanic trends; global attitudes & trends; and social & demographic trends.
Early European Books
Early European Books provides the history of printing in Europe before 1701 with access to the early printed books. This collection complements Early English Books Online (EEBO).
Russian Anarchist Periodicals of the Early 20th Century Online
Russian Anarchist Periodicals of the Early 20th Century Online provides access to 19 anarchist newspaper and journal titles from Keiv, Kharkov, and Krasnoyarsk published during the revolutionary era.
Socio-Economic Database for Latin America and the Caribbean (SEDLAC)
The Socio-Economic Database for Latin America and the Caribbean (SEDLAC) is an online, open source database featuring statistics on poverty and other distributional and social variables from 24 Latin American and Caribbean countries, based on micro data from household surveys. The database is provided through a partnership between The World Bank and The Center for Distributive, Labor, and Social Studies (CEDLAS) at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata. SEDLAC is an ongoing project and regular updates and revisions are made to the dataset.
U.S. Census Data
The U.S. Census Bureau provides online, open access to statistics and analysis tools from multiple surveyors about the nation's people and economy. The Bureau collects data through several surveys including: the decennial census of population and housing, economic census, censuses of state and local governments, the American Community Survey, and other economic indicators.
