Sabinet Legal Access

A set of online subscription databases of historical and current South African legal publications aggregated by Sabinet.  The collection includes official gazettes, journals, bills of the South African Parliament, municipal bylaws, acts and provincial and national legislation, and labor judgements in the courts, dating from 1910 to the present.

IntelCenter Database

Online subscription database of multimedia content, covering "Terrorist/Rebel Incidents, Threats, Hostages, Groups,[ . . .] Individuals, Country Data, Alerts, Maps & Recognition Photos of Vehicles, Weapons, Clothing & More. . . . . As of 30 Sep. 2014, the ICD contains more than 141,000 records covering more than 1,100 hours of audio and video (3,800+ releases), 124,000 incidents, 800 facial records, 330 hostage records, 2,200 photos, 350 logos, 2,900 threat communications, 29 ArcGIS maps, 400 analytical reports." Japan Chronicle

Online full-text access to the English-language Japan Chronicle Weekly (1902 – 1941). The Japan Chronicle offers an important primary resource for researchers, particularly for those unfamiliar with the Japanese language. Presently the resource offers the years 1919 – 1941. The remaining years 1902 – 1919 will reportedly be made available in 2015.

World Biographical Information System (WBIS) Online

The microfiche edition of K. G. Saur's Biographical Archives has been digitized and issued as a group of  databases known as the World Biographical Information System (WBIS) Online. Reference works including biographical lexicons, encyclopedias, and monographs dating from the 16th century through the 1990s are the sources of biographical entries and articles on more than five million people from various countries from the 4th millennium B.C. to the late 20th century.

Verfasser-Datenbank

Launched in 2012, Verfasser-Datenbank (Database of Authors) features articles on literary authors in the German-speaking world from the Middle Ages to present. The database combines four literary studies reference works for a total of over 20,000 articles: Die deutsche Literatur des Mittelalters, Deutscher Humanismus 1480-1520, Frühe Neuzeit in Deutschland 1520-1620, and the Killy-Literaturlexikon.

Verfasser-Datenbank is intended to be updated regularly, with ongoing revision of Literatur des Mittelalters (German Literature of the Middle Ages) overseen by an academic advisory board. Engineering Case Studies Online

Engineering Case Studies Online focuses on engineering failures and employs the case study method for learning from the past. Materials included in cases can range from documentaries, accident reports, company reports, photographs and interviews. There are 58 cases that include significant supporting materials.
