Migration to New Worlds

Migration to New Worlds provides access to documents related to emigration to the United States, Canada and Australasia during the ‘century of immigration’ from 1800 to 1924.  Documents from the eighteenth century and some later material are also included.

This resource provides access to manuscript correspondence, diaries and travel journals, providing first-person accounts of the experiences of emigrants from various countries. It features material on English, Scandinavian, Irish, Italian, Jewish, Polish and Scottish migrant experiences, along with some documents covering Chinese and Japanese migration to the United States. African American Communities

African American Communities provides access to primary source materials documenting race relations across social, political, cultural and religious perspectives in the United States from 1863-1986.  This collection focuses on Atlanta, Chicago, St Louis, Brooklyn, and towns and cities in North Carolina, and provides multiple views of the African American community through personal diaries and scrapbooks, pamphlets, newspapers and periodicals, correspondence, official records and in-depth oral histories.

Cambridge Archive Editions Online

Cambridge Archive Editions Online will bring together the 1,200-volume series of Cambridge Archive Editions in full-text, searchable format. Cambridge Archive Editions presents scholarly articles and facsimile editions of primary source documents (with full annotation) from the National Archives of the UK covering the Near and Middle East, Slavic and Balkan regions, and East and South East Asia. 

Cambridge Archive Editions is an imprint of Cambridge University Press. East View Information Services will develop and host the volumes on its "Universal Database" platform.

Online subscription database of multimedia content, covering "Terrorist/Rebel Incidents, Threats, Hostages, Groups,[ . . .] Individuals, Country Data, Alerts, Maps & Recognition Photos of Vehicles, Weapons, Clothing & More. . . . . As of 30 Sep. 2014, the ICD contains more than 141,000 records covering more than 1,100 hours of audio and video (3,800+ releases), 124,000 incidents, 800 facial records, 330 hostage records, 2,200 photos, 350 logos, 2,900 threat communications, 29 ArcGIS maps, 400 analytical reports." Engineering Case Studies Online

Engineering Case Studies Online focuses on engineering failures and employs the case study method for learning from the past. Materials included in cases can range from documentaries, accident reports, company reports, photographs and interviews. There are 58 cases that include significant supporting materials. Other cases are currently included with minimal information. The case studies product was released in February 2014, and is expected to be completed in late 2014.
