Electronic Enlightenment

Developed by University of Oxford faculty and staff under auspices of the Bodleian Libraries and first released in 2008, Electronic Enlightenment is a comprehensive collection of letters and other correspondence with scholarly annotations providing a unique viewpoint of the early modern time period and its residents. Covering Europe, the Americas, and portions of Asia from the 17th through the 19th centuries, the EE project is, in its own words, “reconnecting the first global social network”.

Publishers Weekly Digital Archive - Direct

Publishers Weekly Digital Archive - Direct is the ongoing updated archive of Publishers Weekly.  The archive provides access to up to 400,000 book reviews, 5,000 author profiles/interviews, and bestsellers list from 1895 forward.  The archive includes content from 1872-end of prior year.

Mass Observation Project, 1981-2009

For many, thoughts of the 1980s in the UK conjure images of the miners' strikes, Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, and the Royal Wedding, likely accompanied by a soundtrack of enduring pop classics.

But the 1980s is not only a pop culture treasure-trove, it was also a transformative decade socially, politically, and technologically.

The first module of Adam Matthew Digital's newly-published Mass Observation Project: 1981-2009 resource allows historians and social scientists to explore how the events and changes of the 1980s, both large and small, impacted the everyday lives of those living in Britain at the time.

Mass Observation Online is a digital collection of unpublished reports on everyday life and culture in Britain between 1937 and  1972. The collection was digitized from selected portions of the archives of Mass Observation, the organization that originally produced these materials, with some updates.

Oxford Scholarly Editions Online

Oxford University Press has created digital versions of its series of authoritative scholarly editions in literature, history, religion, and philosophy, rendered from print versions published from 1888 through 2012. The nine chronological/thematic modules released so far present drama, prose, and verse from the early 17th century through the Restoration period (late 1500s through 1700).

Wiley Digital Archives is a discovery platform and database that provides access to collections of historical primary resources that have been digitized from societies and archives representing knowledge, learning and scholarship in the sciences. In the Global Financial Data Series, the publisher (GFD) provides deep historical data on a wide variety of securities, price indices, exports, imports and more from around the world.  This resource is unique in that it is the only resource, at this point, that provides easy access to many historical time series.

VoxGov

VoxGov, first launched for subscription access in January 2014, is a unique “discovery platform” which aggregates a broad range of official and ephemeral information resources issued by individual representatives and organizations from all branches of the U.S. Federal Government, and links that content to publicly accessible government documentation. It is an online subscription-based service primarily used for Political Science and Public Policy research.

VoxGov's 62M documents come from approximately 8500 sources and located from across 600,000 + website locations, including approximately 45,000 unique government web locations as well as social media sites of government representatives and agencies. The provider...
