CRL gathers and provides information here about commercial and open access digital resources of interest to the CRL community. This information is intended to inform library decisions on investment in electronic resources and related services.
The National Security Archive's Virtual Reading Room provides access to a collection of primary-source documents the National Security Archive has published. Documents in the collections include documents on major topics in international affairs. NSA has secured these documents through Freedom of Information and declassification requests to more than 200 offices and agencies of the U.S. government.
As of November 2018, the Virtual Reading Room provides access to 3778 documents.
An open access, digital platform for sharing information, investigative journalism and Peruvian narratives with the public. The project focuses on aggregating and reporting on important information concerning human rights, corruption, drug trafficking, environment, health and transparency.
The Violations Documentation Center in Syria (VDC) maintains the VDC database to provides access to the information gathered by the organization regarding human rights violations in Syria. The database is openly accessible to the public and is updated on a monthly basis.
A project of the Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica, the Universidad del Rosario, in Bogotá, and ColombiaCheck.com, this database provides information about armed conflict in Colombia. The project further aims to involve survivors of the conflict and to connect internet users to the dynamics of a war that took place in regions distant from large cities.

The ICPSR data repository includes social science data and related documentation from commercial and non-commercial sources. It is an archive of more than 500,000 files of public opinion research data and other ares of the social sciences, relating to politics, education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and a multitude of other fields.

British Newspapers IV, 1780-1950 provides access to national, regional, and local newspapers published in Britain between the late 18th to mid-20th centuries, reflecting the social, political, and cultural events of the times. This group of titles extends the previous digital collections Gale created from the British Library collections.
As part of the JISC Digitisation Programme, this resource has over 3 million pages from approx. 70 national and regional newspapers in 19th Century British Library Newspapers Parts 1 and 2.

FT coverage of financial markets and interests is global, with extensive coverage of Western Europe, North America, China and Japan, South and Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. FT was one of the first newspaper publishers to successfully charge for access to its website.
Manchester Security, Conflict & Peace 2018 provides access to eBook collection of 58 books.
According to Manchester University Press, the collection of books are written by leading names in the field covering key issues and debates on international, regional and national security, domestic and international terrorism as well as conflict management and resolution and practices of peace building.
Manchester Shakespeare is a new digital collection from Manchester University Press. This collection provides access to 38 eBooks covering historical, social, and cultural critiques of Shakespeare and his contemporaries' works, such as Sepnser, Kyd, Marlowe, and Lyly.
Publishers Weekly Digital Archive provides digital access to issues published from 1872 to 2013. Material is reported to be provided in its original context, including advertisements. It includes approximately 200,000 book reviews, publishing news, book trade statistics, and bestseller lists from 1895 forward.
Portico is a service of the not-for-profit organization ITHAKA. Portico preserves digital publications such as e-journal articles, e-books, and digitized historical collections. Portico maintains that content in a "dark," or offline archive, to be made accessible to eligible libraries if and when the content becomes unavailable from its publisher. The purpose of Portico is to protect library and publisher investment in e-content by ensuring the long-term accessibility of that content to their communities.
Open access site that provides access to databases located on the following Legal Information Institutes: AustLII; BAILII; CanLII; HKLII; LII (Cornell); and PacLII. The resource includes over 270 databases from 48 jurisdictions in 20 countries are included in the initial release of WorldLII. Databases of case-law, legislation, treaties, law reform reports, law journals, and other materials are included.

Data-Planet Statistical Datasets provides access to a repository of standardized and structured statistical data. As of 2018 the Data-Planet repository is said to contain more than 18.9 billion data points from more than 70 source organizations. The over 3.9 billion time series listed by Data-Planet provide access to data presented in charts, maps, graphs, and table form, via multiple points of entry.
The Data-Planet platform facilitates storage, accessibility, usability, maintenance and archiving of statistical data. This includes statistics sourced from both third parties and directly from researchers.
Mobilizing East Asia provides access to English-language newspapers, magazines, books, and pamphlets published in East Asia from 1904-1959.
Ethnic NewsWatch is a database provided by ProQuest that features newspaper, magazines, and journals of the ethnic and minority press. The publications date back to 1990, with full-text of apprximately 1.8 million articles from 315 publications of both national and regional coverage.
Major Latino publications are featured, including El Nuevo Herald, and El Andar.
