Cairn, a limited public company based in Liege, Beligium, offers scholarly publications in the French language in the humanities and social sciences online. Cairn provides access to journals and ebooks from French, Belgian and Swiss publishers, and has offices in Liege and in Paris, France.

Microform Imaging Limited has two distinct trading divisions. Microform Scanning & Microfilming which provides bureau services, and Microform Academic Publishers which maintains the company’s original pedigree focusing on preservation and dissemination of the information and knowledge stored in libraries, archives and record offices from all corners of the United Kingdom. Portico preserves scholarly literature published in electronic form and ensures that these materials remain accessible to future scholars, researches, and students. Portico is part of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance research and teaching in sustainable ways. Content is received from participating publishers, migrated to standard formats and preserved. Access is provided to eligible libraries when a trigger event occurs.
