Content is updated on a continuous basis, 24 hours a day. Of the 32,000 sources approximately 4,000 are available through Factiva on the date of original publication. Factiva has an archive that goes back to 1951. The resource had same-day coverage of: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, the Guardian, Les Echos, South China Morning Post, The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, Straits Times, and The Irish Times. Factiva holds only the past two weeks of the Wall Street Journal. Factiva’s team of specialists mine, refine and curate content from sources around the world. Delivery: For search and browsing purposes, Facitva indexes content by: Source, Author, Company, Subject, Industry, Region, Look up (free text search box), and Language. In the Factiva database, current newspapers can be browsed by selecting the "News Pages" feature. Specific newspapers can be selected and browsed by date (up to the last two weeks) and by section. Articles can be downloaded from the database but there is a limit to the number of documents that can be downloaded per day. Developers can access Factiva’s news database through an API.
