Mergent’s/Moody's municipal, government, and corporate manuals from the United States dating back to 1918 ranging to present day. Historical industry report collection, dating back to 2003 ranging to present day featuring Mergent's analyses on global industry landscapes and market trends. U.S. patent archives. Bond records, dating back to 2004 ranging to present day. Dun & Bradstreet Country Insight Reports. Historical collection of handbooks, dating back to 1995 ranging to present day. The First Research archive of market analysis reports. Dun & Bradstreet Million Dollar Directory, dating back to 1959 ranging to present day. Dun & Bradstreet Industry Norms and Key Business Ratios Archives, dating back 1979 ranging through present day. The database includes 370,000 U.S. documents, 250,000 Canadian documents, and 500,000 international documents. Delivery: Mergent Archives can be searched by keyword; the platform defaults to the historical annual reports search but the interface provides tabs to access content from the other subject categories of the database via search. Many of the documents from Mergent Archives are available as PDF downloads only. Strengths and Weaknesses: Based on testaments given by ARL institutions, Mergent products often only provide downloading of database content into PDF format, which can be limiting in terms of its usability for academic research. Additionally, the PDFs from Mergent products are often poor quality and not OCR'd. Mergent's data is often packaged in a way that forces libraries to purchase products that contain a large amount of content that is not of interest to library researchers in order to obtain access to the desired content.
