The New York Times Company is a publicly traded for-profit media company established in 1851 (and incorporated 1896). It publishes its flagship newspaper, The Nerw York Times, as well as the International New York Times and their related websites (NYTimes.com and international.nytimes.com). Related business assets include The Times news services division, digital archive distribution, its conference business and other products and services under The Times brand. The company has non-controlling ownership interests in newsprint companies and paper mills.
Nexo
Nexo is an online news provider in Brazil and was launched in the summer of 2015. Nexos has tried to carve out a space for itself somewhere in between academic research and explanatory journalism.

ORCID represents itself as "a community-driven non-profit organization that aims to solve the name ambiguity problem in research and scholarly communications. ORCID maintains a central registry of unique identifiers for individual researchers and provides open and transparent processes for connecting ORCID iDs with persistent identifiers for people, organizations, and research activities and outputs."

ORS Publishing is the publisher of Polling the Nations, an online, subscription-based collection of public opinion data.

HARRASSOWITZ is a book and serials vendor for the academic and research library community, specializing in the distribution of scholarly books, periodicals, e-resources, and music scores.
The Odum Institute
The Odum Institute at the University of North Carolina supports social science teaching and research at UNC. The institute provides consulting on research, GIS and spatial analysis, survey research, and data management. Odum also operates a data archive.

Planet Labs
Planet (or Planet Labs) is an Earth imaging company that designs and manufactures satellites that provide a complete image of Earth at 3-5 m optical resolution. The images gathered by the satellites provide up to date information relevant to climate monitoring, crop yeild production, urban planning and disaster response.
PolicyMap
In 2017, PolicyMap became a Certified Small Business and Benefit Corporation. PolicyMap, formerly from The Reinvestment Fund (TRF), curates a geographic data library with mapping and analytic tools creating their PolicyMap database.
PolicyMap provides access to thousands of customizable maps, including data on real estate, broadband infrastructure, demographics, and more from sources like Zillow, the Census, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and GreatSchools.

POLITICO is a global news and information company at the intersection of politics and policy. One of their products is PoliticoPro.
Population Reference Bureau
The Population Reference Bureau is a private, nonprofit organization that specializes in collecting and providing access to statistics for research and academic purposes focused on the environment, and health and structure of populations.
The Population Reference Bureau receives support from a number of foundations, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies. Included in their services the Population Reference Bureau offers an annual World Population Data Sheet, provides the online DataFinder, and publishes the Population Handbook.
