Planet (or Planet Labs) is an Earth imaging company that designs and manufactures satellites that provide a complete image of Earth at 3-5 m optical resolution. The images gathered by the satellites provide up to date information relevant to climate monitoring, crop yeild production, urban planning and disaster response. 

In 2017, PolicyMap became a Certified Small Business and Benefit Corporation.  PolicyMap, formerly from The Reinvestment Fund (TRF), curates a geographic data library with mapping and analytic tools creating their PolicyMap database.

The Population Reference Bureau is a private, nonprofit organization that specializes in collecting and providing access to statistics for research and academic purposes focused on the environment, and health and structure of populations. 

Portico preserves scholarly literature published in electronic form and ensures that these materials remain accessible to future scholars, researches, and students. Portico is part of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance research and teaching in sustainable ways.
