Thomson Reuters is a publicly traded, corporation based in Toronto and New York, with extensive holdings in finance, news media, scientific publishing, and investment and trading technologies.  The company was formed in 2008 with the acquisition by Toronto-based Thomson Corporation of London-based Reuters Group PLC. Thomson Reuters traces its origins to the establishment of Sweet & Maxwell legal publishing in London in 1799.

ProQuest LLC is privately-held property of the information services and publishing conglomerate Cambridge Information Group, Inc. With headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, ProQuest publishes in microform and in electronic format scholarly and scientific monographs, journals and archives of historical newspapers, periodicals, government records and publications, dissertations, and epehemera.

William S. Hein & Co., Inc. is a legal publisher that provide access to content through an online platform called Heinonline. HeinOnline is available by subscription with a core subscription package and additional a-la-carte libraries.

L'Harmattan is a French publisher, specializing in literature and the humanities.  They offer many of these works, including books and films, on their digital platform.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung was founded in 1949 and is the German newspaper with the largest circulation outside of Germany.  It is published in the city of Frankfurt.

In 2015 its divisions included Bloomsbury Academic and Professional, Bloomsbury Information, Bloomsbury Adult Publishing and Bloomsbury Children's Publishing. Bloomsbury USA is a  U.S.-based sunbsidiary.
