African Financial & Economic Data (AFED) aggregates financial and economic data from African countries, providing intelligence in a standardized format for research and analytics.
AFED claims coverage from all 54 African countries and is presented either as data sets, country profiles, or by sector focus.

IHS Markit Connect
Online delivery platform, IHS Markit Connect provides downloadable data and forecasts, daily headline analysis, special topical reports, in-depth country reports and monthly economic overviews based on expertise and data aggregated by London-based IHS Markit Ltd.
Factiva
Database of global news sources on finance and business; Factiva provides full-text to many major national and regional newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, and The Financial Times. The resource also provides text from newswires and television and radio news transcripts.
Morningstar Investment Research Center
The Morningstar Investment Research Center product provides access to stock market data and analysis, equity, and mutual funds information for research. The resource is a subscription database designed to service institutions, investors, and business students. In a 2010 review in The Charleston Advisor, John Schmitt called the product "a versatile investment tool that uses current data and in-depth analysis to put a value on stocks, bonds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and broad markets . . . [with] analytic tools that a layman can use to understand risk and diversification."
World Bank e-Library
Online access to over 5,500 titles published by the World Bank since the 1990s, plus new titles as they become available.
BMI (formerly Business Monitor International)
The BMI (formerly Business Monitor International) platform provides a wide suite of raw data, risk ratings, quarterly and/or monthly forecast reports, daily sector analysis, webinar access, analyst team interaction and project databases to evaluate, measure and identify business opportunities and environments by country worldwide. Indiastat is an online gateway to socio-economic data from India, its states, regions, and districts. Subscription to Indiastat provides access to 56 associate databases that cover topics including agriculture, demographics, market forecast, health, media, economy, crime, and social welfare.
S&P Capital IQ
S&P Capital IQ provides real-time data, research, and analytics on both public and private capital markets.
OECD iLibrary
The OECD iLibrary is the online library of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development featuring books, papers, and statistics as well as OECD data and analysis.
U.S. Census Data
The U.S. Census Bureau provides online, open access to statistics and analysis tools from multiple surveyors about the nation's people and economy. The Bureau collects data through several surveys including: the decennial census of population and housing, economic census, censuses of state and local governments, the American Community Survey, and other economic indicators.
Business Dynamic Statistics
Business Dynamic Statistics is a series of openly accessible datasets provided by the U.S. Census Bureau that contain data on U.S. business dynamics. The featured data includes: economic data on employment, number of establishments, establishment openings and closing, number of startups and firm shutdowns as well as annual business and economic statistics.
Business Insights: Essentials
Business Insights is a database provided by Gale Cengage with access to company and industry information, articles, and statistical data. The data includes: case studies, coutnry profiles, statistics, market research reports, news articles, academic journals, and reference materials.
The Odum Institute Data Archive
The Odum Institute Data Archive is a physical and digital archive provided by the University of Carolina's Odum Institute. The Data Archive includes holdings of national and international economic, electoral, demographic, financial, health, and public opinion data. The archive features the following datasets: the national network of state polls, public opinion data, social psychology data, and North Carolina data.
Business Source Premier
Business Source Premier provides the full text for more than 8,800 serials, dating back to 1965 (or the first issue published for that journal). It also includes searchable cited references back as far as 1998. Journal ranking studies reveal that Business Source Premier is the leader in full text coverage in all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Academic Search Premier
Academic Search Premier contains indexing and abstracts for more than 8,500 journals, with full text for more than 4,600 of those titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. Academic Search Premier contains unmatched full text coverage in biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, etc.
