Project MUSE was launched in 1995 by the Johns Hopkins University Press, in collaboration with the Milton S. The database includes every volume of The Annual Register from its founding in 1758 to the present. The Annual Register is a record of British and world events, published annually in London .Its coverage includes nternational diplomacy, trade, economics, the environment, science, law, religion, the arts, and sport, together with a chronicle of major events and selected documents. 

With more than 2.7 million entries, and 1.2 in full text, ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT) is the database of record for doctoral dissertations and master's theses. The database represents the work of authors from over 1,700 graduate schools and universities in North America and from around the globe. Over 70,000 new dissertations and theses are added to the database each year.

ProQuest is now offering four new historical ethnic newspaper titles through their Historical Newspapers database platform: The American Hebrew & Jewish Messenger (1857–1922), The American Israelite (1854–1922), The Jewish Exponent (1887–1990), and The Jewish Advocate (1905–90). These titles are available as a group or separately.

Publishers Weekly Digital Archive provides digital access to issues published from 1872 to 2013.  Material is reported to be provided in its original context, including advertisements.  It includes approximately 200,000 book reviews, publishing news, book trade statistics, and bestseller lists from 1895 forward.

Publishers Weekly Digital Archive - Direct is the ongoing updated archive of Publishers Weekly.  The archive provides access to up to 400,000 book reviews, 5,000 author profiles/interviews, and bestsellers list from 1895 forward.  The archive includes content from 1872-end of prior year.

In 2020, East View became the provider for Publishers Weekly Digital Archive.

This digital collection presents the full run of Punch magazine from its start until its initial demise, from 1841-1992. The re-launched version from 1996-2002 is not included.

Digital archive of Rafu Shimpō, a Japanese-American newspaper published in the United States. It contains 30,361 full-text issues dating from 1929 to the present. The archive is full-image with fully searchable text.

East View reports that the archive will grow with ongoing subscription and is hosted on East View's Universal Database platform. 

The Rand Daily Mail Archive provides searchable, full-text coverage of the Rand Daily Mail, a daily newspaper published in Johannesburg, South Africa. Coverage spans1902, the year of the founding of the newspaper, to 1985, the year it was closed amidst a government crackdown on anti-apartheid activism. .

Readers’ Guide Retrospective: 1890-1982, part of the H.W. Wilson Retrospective Indexes collection, is a digital archive of the Readers’ Guide to Periodical Literature. The archive offers all information from 44 Readers’ Guide annuals.
